FASHION: London Fashion Week Diary Day Two

Saturday dawned brightly, a beautiful sunny start to a weekend of Fashion. The Daks show started just as brightly with white washed dresses followed by apricot and rust coloured jumpsuits and the occasional Burberry reminiscent check. My first celebrity spotting of the day was Absolutely Fabulous’ Joanna Lumley suitably styled with a ridiculous hat. There was time for copious amounts of coffee before the Ji Cheng show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Ji Cheng’s collection was inspired by Chinese tea rituals and used a predominantly white, nude and mint green palette. Perfect styling included wooden platforms and a modern take on traditional peasant hats .

20120916-125013.jpg We made a pit stop at the Vauxhall exhibitions to check out some of the emerging talent on display. My favourites included Steven Tai’s work which focuses on layering, in the extreme, the shirt Steven’s holding below weighs about five Kgs!
