I felt inspired at LFW to get out of my make up rut. I’ve been sporting a red lip, black flick combo for too long. A top catwalk trend from the past few seasons has been pink, so I’ve gone for a smokey pink eye and rosy cheeks. For the base I’ve used a base of Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation (£24), with Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Touch (£4.99) in Radiant Rose and Thin LIzzy 6 In One Powder.
For the eye I’ve gone with a dark, dramatic flick using a Revlon liquid liner pen, I’ve tried lots of liners but found for flicks this open gives you the best control. I’ve then used the Bare Minerals Honeymoon Phase palette to create the pink smokey eye. Starting with the black I’ve blended upwards from the flick into pure pink just below the brow. to enhance the pink I’ve then applied a touch of the Rimmel Wake Me Up just under the eyebrow. I’ve kept the brows simple with a touch of Soap & Glory’s Archery pen in Love Is Blonde tone. To finish the look a slick of Revlon’s Grow Luscious Mascara. LIke the liner pen, I’ve tried more expensive products but found trusty old Revlon’s cheap-as-chips mascara works the best. The final look – a deceptively sweet pink palette with a nod to the sixties sex vixens.
